According to analisters from “Informa Telecoms and Media” and Natasha Lomas from Silicon.com, “Android smartphone sales will outstrip iPhone sales by 2012 […] However the analyst believes Symbian’s switch to open source will help the Symbian Foundation maintain its leadership over Android, Linux and Microsoft over the next few years.”
In my opinion, to avoid to be overtaken Apple should continue in its innovation policy: I hope iPhone firmware 3.0 will be a breath of fresh air from this point of view!
